Act VI is a production company dedicated to exploring what storytelling means in the 21st century. There are new rhythms of attention, new automations of artistic labour. How will traditional stories survive alongside emerging technology?

We approach every project from first principles. This means honouring traditional practices and experimenting with new technologies. It means irreverence in service of sincerity. Whether re-staging Shakespeare in public parks or developing original, tech-integrated performances, our goal is simple: tell stories that nourish the soul and spark the imagination.

Founded by Nicholas Koy Santillo, Act VI aims to embrace the future we all live in — one which is both unrecognizable from, and a natural continuation of, all that has come before. For over 2,000 years, Western tradition has told stories using, and in dialogue with, the five act structure. Act VI was founded to explore the question: What’s Next?
