Nicholas Koy Santillo, Director / Fight Director
Nicholas Koy Santillo is a classically trained storyteller who strives to invigorate the arts in culture and connect cultures through art, across the distances of space and time. He has trained at Concordia University in Montreal, The National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts in Beijing, and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in London, England. He co-founded Canada's first professional Beijing Opera theatre company (Jingju Canada), as well as Ducdame Ensemble and Act VI productions, both award-winning production companies. He has a black cat named Henry Bullingbrook and struggles with social media and capitalism.
Cassidy Sadler, Producer
A producer, director and actor, Cassidy is passionate about new works, immersive experiences and experimental theatre. She is a co-founder of Moss Theatre Collective, and Alumnae Theatre’s seasonal speakeasy cabaret, the Studio Open Mic. She is a company member of Live History, whose site-specific work can be seen internationally. Cassidy is the Associate Producer at Roseneath Theatre. Additional credits include Fierce (Moss Theatre Collective/Alumnae Theatre); The Seqret City and The Curious Voyage (DopoLavoro Teatrale); Back to the Bar (Sidestreet Theatre/Toronto Fringe); A Tonic for Desperate Times (Theatre Gargantua); and The Pride of Life and Mankind (Poculi Ludique Societas/Stan’s Cafe/Metropolitan Museum of Art).
Sarah Yeoman, Stage Manager
Sarah Yeoman (they/them) is an emerging theatre artist based in Toronto, ON. Having come from a small town with a nearly invisible theatre scene, Sarah aims to challenge the way people see theatre. By challenging the norm and pushing the envelope on societal standards, Sarah strives to create things that challenge the audience to think. They have had the honour to work on shows in Prague as a part of the Prague Shakespeare Intensive as well as all over Toronto and the GTA. Their motto is “Just Make Shit!” and they believe that art is for the self, for exploration, and for the development of society as we move towards a more progressive and accepting world. Sarah is now part of the development of queer-based stories that explore the idea of the self and the concept of originality.
Meliz Posta, Costume Designer / Marketing Manager
A musical lover first and foremost, Meliz Posta began her career in the Toronto arts scene in 2022, and has since enjoyed dabbling in anything and everything theatre, from Production to Lighting Operation. As well as her involvement at Alumnae Theatre (Co-Producer, New Ideas Festival 2023; Co-Producer, Bone Cage 2024; Costume Designer, The Children 2024), Meliz has worked as the Production Assistant for Opera Atelier and Associate Production Manager for Roseneath Theatre. Despite moving back to her hometown of London, England, Meliz is thrilled to be the Costume Designer for such an innovative interpretation of this well-loved play. Toronto, she'll be back soon!
Jes Wareing, Intimacy Director
Jes Wareing is an intimacy director, actor, writer, and all-around storyteller. She recently intimacy directed Bone Cage (Alumnae Theatre), as well as a short film, MEP. Jes is a movement professional with experience in MoCap, psychophysical acting, and is an advanced practitioner of The Batdorf Technique. She is currently pursuing certification through IDC Professionals Inc., and recently completed a training intensive which brings her one step closer to full certification as an Intimacy Coordinator. Jes holds a BFA in Acting from York University and will be completing a Graduate Certificate in Creative Writing at Humber College in the fall of 2025.
Arjun Kalra, Romeo / First Watchman
Arjun Kalra (he/him) is a queer and South Asian performer who yearns to express his creativity and internal fire as multidisciplinary artistic expression, primarily through Theatre and Film. In his development as an artist, Kalra is currently attending Toronto Metropolitan University for the Performance: Acting program, approaching his final year! His recent acting credits include Toronto Fringe's Elephant Song (b.), Paprika Festival's Chitra (Arjuna), No String Theatre's The Storyteller (Goddess), and TMU School of Performance's Marriage (Kochkaryov). Aside from acting, Arjun loves singing, writing poetry, dancing hip-hop, fashion styling, graphic design, and the Minions franchise! He is beyond thrilled to be acting in Act VI's The Tragedie of Romeo and Juliet for this summer production (title track: Romeo)!
Jillian Peters, Mercutio / Capulet / Prince
Jillian is a multi-disciplinary artist from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and now based in Toronto, Ontario. She is a recent graduate of Randolph College for the Performing Arts, and since graduating, she has found a love of performing Shakespeare! Some of her most recent shows include Much Ado About Nothing (Thaumatrope Theatre) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Barteam Theatre). Romeo and Juliet is one of her all-time favourite Shakespeare plays, and she is so grateful to get the opportunity to work on this show with such an awesome team. She hopes you enjoy this unique take on this timeless tale.
Molly Dunn, Nurse / Friar Lawrence
Molly Dunn is an actor trained at the University of Toronto’s Centre for Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies, who will be returning to the University of Toronto to complete her Master’s in the fall. She has participated in numerous productions, ranging from classical to contemporary, and has also co-written and directed an original work, Crab Mentality (with support from the CDTPS’s Alumni Performance Project). Aside from acting, Molly is also a writer, with pieces published in journals such as The Hart House Review, Meat for Tea: The Valley Review, and Penumbra Literary and Arts Journal. She is thrilled to be a part of Romeo and Juliet, and extends her deepest thanks and congratulations to the entire team.
